Remember those words…from way back when we all used to watch every NASA rocket launch from the Kennedy Space Center (Cape Canaveral)? Holy cow! Christmas Eve is only four days away. Where did the time go? Have I done ANY Christmas shopping? Not on your life! Those of us who are aging at a more rapid rate than others get this same feeling every year at Christmas. The time’s going by so fast, I’m running out of it. Those on the younger end of the temporal spectrum, kids and teens, have a whole different perspective on the Advent Season. “When is Christmas going to get here? It’s taking soooo long!” We could learn a wonderful lesson from the children around us at Christmas. Kids have perfect faith that Christmas is coming…it’s a fact. They know for sure that it is going to be great, and they just can’t wait for it to get here! Those of us on the fast track to older age can apply that same logic to the end of our earthly lives and the coming again of our Savior Jesus Christ. We know He’s coming (He’s promised and He always keeps his promises). We know the result of that is going to be great. And, we’re so full of excitement over that reality that we can hardly wait. Oh, there’s one more thing. Before Christmas the kids can’t help but talk about it, to everyone. There’s another lesson we can learn, let’s talk about the coming of Jesus, to everyone!
