I have been tagged to participate in this fundraiser for ALS research by my daughter (bless her heart) Beth who took the plunge yesterday in Florida. What it consists of is having about 10 gallons of ice water dumped over your head, just like a winning football coach receives at the end of a big game. I plan to have this great injustice perpetrated upon me this Sunday, August 24th, after the 10:00am service. As I mentioned, this is a fund raiser for the ALS Foundation so I am looking for people who would like to participate in that regard…by giving funds. Doing so will insure that I will not tag you as the next participant. ALS, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, has had a major impact on St. John’s. John Butterfield (husband of Bev), Ron Miller (husband of Holly who now lives in Council Bluffs, Iowa) and Arley-Ann Hodneland (wife of Reidar and mother of Arlen Hodneland and Neilene Deboise) all battled this disease bravely and it was the vehicle in which the Lord called each of them home. Join me in the quest for a cure. Checks may be made payable to the ALS Foundation.
